Letters: Network for lunch

Sharon Peach says that her day nursery has been inundated with responses to sharing ideas on treasure baskets (Letters, 23 August) and proposes that more nurseries network.

I agree and think that childcare providers are chomping at the bit to work together and share ideas, once we can all get over seeing each other as competition. I believe that getting together to share best practice can only help increase the standard of care in these settings.

Having had many requests to visit Kids Allowed centres, we now host a quarterly, free networking lunch. We have found them incredibly popular. It is a great opportunity for people to see what we are all about, as well as a great opportunity to listen to other childcare professionals who have some fantastic ideas.
