I am optimistic about the Busy Bees takeover and think Leapfrog may well become more child-focused, as I do feel that since Nord Anglia took over, the company lost some of this.

I know that day to day care won't change for the children at my nursery as the staff already give their all to make sure the children are happy and stimulated.

Unfortunately, wages are low, so not many men are drawn to childcare. Also, there is a stigma attached to men working with children - are they gay/any other motives? More men should be encouraged to work with children!

We have to recognise that childcare and education workers are doing an essential job of helping to teach, nurture and inspire the adults of tomorrow. I would say that warrants a pretty good wage.
