At Papillon Montessori Pre-school in Hatch End, Middlesex, children have been getting fit while raising money for charity.
The idea came about after a parent asked if the setting could help encourage her child to walk more. Deputy manager Clare Davidson suggested a sponsored walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support as a number of staff and families have received help from the charity.
Each day, the children, aged two to four, and staff walked around the edge of the school grounds eight times while learning about the effects of exercise on the body.
