Hertfordshire nursery group expands

Boys & Girls Nursery group has added a fourth nursery to its chain with a new branch in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.

Natasha Kirby, director of Boys & Girls Nursery Group said that the Rickmansworth nursery had been 'exceptionally busy' in its first month of opening, and had exceeded the group’s expectations of families registering with the site.

‘The children and team are settling well into the new environment, enjoying all of the new toys and activities,’ she said.

The new site can accommodate up to 100 children aged between three months and five-years-old and opened last month, with VIP guest Peppa Pig providing children’s entertainment.

The former care home has been converted to create four open-plan rooms, creating age-specific learning and play areas for babies (three- to- 12 months), pre-toddlers (12-24 months), toddlers (two- to- three-years-old) and pre-school children. The children can take part in activities such as cooking, music, dance and French lessons.

Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth offers a variety of services to cater for parents. CCTV is installed throughout the building, which parents can view from the reception to reassure them that their child has settled in at the nursery.

The site features a large car park to provide convenient drop-off points, and there is plenty of space for parents to store pushchairs and car seats for their convenience.

Nicola Masterson, nursery manager, said that she is looking forward to helping launch the Rickmansworth branch and developing her new team. She said, ‘Being involved from the very beginning of the Rickmansworth Nursery opening will ensure I know the nursery inside out and I can be confident that we [offer] the children a safe and stimulating learning environment.’
