Put the busy bees in your nursery to work making a honeycomb. Resources

Egg boxes yellow paint shearing elastic baker's clay (4 cups of plain flour, a cup of salt and 11/2 cups of water)

Step by step

* Talk about how honey is made and about things that have honey in them, such as sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and sweets.

* Cut each of the six sections out of the egg boxes and staple them together to form any shape. Paint the honeycomb yellow.

* Form the baker's clay into little oval shapes for the bees. Make a small hole in the middle of the bee with a needle and bake for one hour (150xC/300xF/ gas mark 2)
