Care regulation bodies to set up shop in Dundee

* The two new 'watchdog' bodies which are to regulate Scotland's childcare services and practitioners are to be based in Dundee, first minister Henry McLeish announced last week. The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care, which is to oversee all care services, and the Scottish Social Services Council, which will register care workers, including those in early years, will set up shop in a Dundee HQ which will house more than 160 staff. Fifty new jobs will be created, and the others will involve staff transferring from other parts of Scotland.
