The campaign sees a re-run of the 'Be their inspiration' television advertisement that features a montage of children being inspired by their childcare workers, broadcast for four weeks until 26 October. Press advertisements have also been taken out in a number of women's magazines.
The campaign is still concentrating on recruiting more people from under-represented groups such as men, the disabled, ethnic minorities and people who are aged 50 and above.
John Kannerick from London, who has cerebral palsy and works as a play leader and learning support assistant, said, 'People have preconceived ideas about disabilities and how much you can do. I'd say to any person considering a career in childcare that it's up to you to prove you can do it. I've done it and I know I can make a difference.'
