Communication difficulties device developed

A new device to enable children who have communication difficulties to take control of conversations has been developed by scientists in Scotland. A system attached to a child's wheelchair records what they have done and where they have been in a day and uses information from teachers and carers to generate simple sentences to summarise the day's events. The software, developed by Dundee and Aberdeen University and Capability Scotland, has been trialled by Capability's Corseford School near Glasgow.
