Diverse agenda for EYP event

The seminar and discussion themes at the first national Early Years Professional event have been named as:

early years and professionalism, leading and inspiring, developing skills and practice beyond EYPS, what is EYPS?, outdoor play, creativity and the early years, and tackling inequality.

The new children's minister, Dawn Primarolo, will address delegates about the value of having highly trained professionals who can lead the learning and development of the under-fives.

Other speakers are to include Professor Denny Hevey from the University of Northampton, Dwynwen Stepien from the Early Childhood Forum and Dr Pat Brunton from ALC Associates.

The free event takes place on 14 July at the International Conference Centre in Birmingham. It is organised by the Children's Workforce Development Council and supported by Nursery World.
