Reviewed by Fiona Hamilton-Fairley, principal of the Kids' Cookery School If you are interested in the food your children eat, then I highly recommend this book, which covers a wide range of food issues.

The A to Z approach appeals to my way of thinking. Chapters include 'Advertising Whoppers', 'Drink to Health', 'Munchies', 'Pester Power' and 'Toothy Issues', and the format lends itself to making a good reference book.

There are handy tips on the foods children love, especially the unhealthy options, and how to encourage moderation. There is also sound advice on the nutritional value of different foods. The author covers all the main areas of the diet, including portions, recipes, lunchbox planning and family mealtimes.

This is a well-researched book giving a comprehensive over- view of children's food lifestyles and habits. It shows a wealth of knowledge, especially on how children's health and wellbeing is influenced by what they eat, including topics such as food allergies and intolerances, asthma and eczema.
