In brief...A conference in Dundee

A conference in Dundee last week looked at how professionals and families can help children and young people in schools to develop their personality, talents and mental and physical abilities to their fullest potential, a key aim of the Standards in Scotland's Schools Act 2000. 'Supporting children and young people in schools: creative approaches to a positive future' was organised by Enquire, the independent information and advice service on special educational needs, and explored how the Scottish Executive's commitment to promoting inclusion can be put into practice.
