* The National Day Nurseries Association Cymru plans to help more nurseries expand their use of the Welsh language by supplying free resources to support them in introducing Welsh phrases and words to children. Its new resource pack includes three fact sheets with key Welsh words and phrases, such as colours and days of the week, and a list of useful contacts and bilingual services. The resource can be downloaded at www.ndna.org.uk.
* Dans le Magasin de Jouets is a new bilingual book that introduces the French language to pre-school children. The book features basic French vocabulary from simple greetings to numbers, colours and parts of the body, and one section explores the concept of a foreign language, discussing how and why we speak differently.
