APEL recognises that experience counts. The Level 3 Certificate in Work with Children: Accreditation of Prior Experience and Learning (APEL) Award, which was launched a year ago, was developed specifically for people like Ms Ayres: experienced, competent practitioners working at level 3 but who do not have a level 3 qualification.
