A nine-year-old girl in Germany was so upset about having to tidy her room she put up a sign in her window urging passers-by to call police for help, reported the Daily Mirror. 'The room looked like a battlefield,' said a local police spokesman. Officers told the girl to tidy her room and came back two hours later to find it all cleaned up. The Sun featured a family of six generations spanning 103 years from Nottinghamshire. The youngest is six-week-old Lil-Mae, and the oldest is her great-great-great-grandmother Dorothy Baguley, 103. The family members all live within two miles of each other.

Busy parents are employing 'supernannies' to be surrogate parents to their children, said the Daily Mail. It said that parents are looking for nannies to double as language teachers, chefs and nurses, now that many families have both parents working in demanding jobs.
