Happy and Healthy

Children from Little Acorns Day Nursery in Gomersal, West Yorkshire,have been learning about why exercise and a nutritious diet areimportant. Staff have encouraged them to get out and brave the coldweather, and as part of the topic, the children made a display aboutways to stay healthy.

Big cooks little cooks

Healthy living has been on the menu for children at Wooden Horse Nurseryin Wykeham, Scarborough, as they have engaged in role-play activitiesfocused on cooking fresh food and eating fruit. Nursery manager LouiseHolloway said, 'We want to promote the importance of eating fruit andvegetables as part of the Government initiative Change for Life.' Thechildren are also cooking some healthy soup.
