Scottish local authorities to tackle indiscipline in schools

Scottish local authoritiesare to receive a share of 10m to tackle the problem of indiscipline in schools, the Scottish Executive announced last week. The funding will provide extra staff to supervise pupils during breaks and between lessons and home-school link workers to ease the transition back to education for children truanting or excluded from school.
