Spotlight on ... Heidi Clapp, Corner House Day Nursery

Name: Heidi Clapp

Position: Managing director of Corner House Day Nursery in Ealing,London

- Why made you decide to do a 300-mile cycle ride for charity HearingDogs for Deaf People?

The nursery is 20 years old this year and I also turned 50, so wanted toset myself a challenge to prove I wasn't over the hill yet. I alsowanted to raise the charity's profile - I got my dog Oliver through themafter he didn't quite make the hearing dog grade.

- How did the cycle ride go?

It was fun but very exhausting. I did the challenge alone with myhusband following in a car and Oliver running alongside me or beingpulled behind in a trailer. It took me just over two weeks to cycle fromBath to York.
