The Meningitis Trust Toddle Waddle is a sponsored walk for the under- fives. Every year over 50,000 children join their parents and carers to toddle, waddle, skip, hop and jump and raise much-needed funds to support the fight against meningitis. Last year the Trust raised 355,000 and over the last five years toddlers have waddled their way towards an incredible 1.3m.

This year's Toddle Waddle will take place between 2 and 15 October so there is still plenty of time to register for a free fundraising pack.

The pack includes sponsorship forms, certificates, letters for parents and activity sheets. 'All our children love taking part in the Toddle Waddles,' says Val Webb. 'They walk around the nursery grounds with their balloons and every child receives a certificate at the end. Alex and Emily are now enjoying school with their friends, but the need for awareness and fundraising continues.'
