Walk this way

* The next National Walk to School Week, organised by the National Travelwise Association and the Pedestrians Association, takes place between 30 September and 4 October and there is an International Walk to School Day on 2 October. If you want to find out if you are in a participating area, contact your local road safety officer. You could get involved in organising a 'walking bus', as some teachers and parents have done. A group of adults take it in turns to walk the children to and from school in a crocodile, picking them up and delivering them back home as they go.
