Northern Ireland's champion for children, Nigel Williams, has died aged 51 from cancer

Northern Ireland's champion for children, Nigel Williams, has died aged 51 from cancer. Mr Williams was the founder of the London-based charity Childnet International before becoming Northern Ireland's first commissioner for children in 2003. A remembrance board has been opened on www.niccy.org to pay tribute to his life and work. Barney McNeany is now the acting children's commissioner.
