Work Matters: Update

HOME FROM HOME

MNT Training has launched a home study version of the popular Diploma inHome-based Childcare (DHC). Philippa Murray, director of MNT, says,'This is an excellent opportunity for nannies and other home-basedchildcarers to study at home. Most nannies and maternity nurses worklong hours, making it impossible to attend a college to undertakefurther training. Having completed the Diploma, childcarers can go on toa foundation degree which opens the door to achieving EYP Status.'

Another advantage of the DHC is that the first unit, Introduction toChildcare Practice, covers the required childcare training to joinOfsted's Voluntary Register.
